I tried to use this tool on the front axle of my 1999 Jeep WJ. Despite the IRO video showing the use of the tool to remove the old bushing, do not waste your time. The depth of the tool and the length of the small bolt will not work for removal of the center bushing(I tried). and the big bolt even bent when I tried to remove the old outter bushing!! Save yourself the aggravation and just get the free loaner Tie Rod Remove/install Tool from the auto parts store. For install, the tool did work but why buy this tool when you already have to get the Tie Rod tool??
I called and talked to IRO about this tool after using it on my 1999 WJ. Conclusion, "Sorry it did not work for you". Hmmmm

I bought this tool so I could remove my old original stock axle control arm bushing and to install the new flex joint i also purchased. Big advantage of this tool is it’s size which makes it a lot easier to use compared to a ball joint tool. Removal of the oem bushing was cake and installation of the new flex joint was also cake with this tool. Highly recommend this if you get the press in flex joint!
