THE PROBLEM:
The steering and track bar angles on your WJ stay nearly parallel even with a super tall lift. However, the factory never intended the steep angles you see on your lifted Jeep. The result in some cases is a Jeep that handles poorly and is prone to wander even with tight bushings, new steering components and a good alignment. With the stock configuration on the drag link and track bar, a tall lifted WJ has a higher potential to have adverse driving characteristics than other Jeep vehicles we have seen.
THE SOLUTION:
IRO has come up with an innovative solution to this issue with our 1-Ton OTK Steering System. These elements will help your WJ track better, ride smoother, and make you feel confident driving it.
- Track bar drop subframe: This bolt in unit drops your track bar a whopping 3 inches on the frame side compared to stock. Not only does it drop the track bar, but also it runs under the oil pan to the other side of the uniframe adding strength. This adds a great deal of support and rigidity to the entire set-up. Constructed with laser cut and CNC formed 1/4" steel. Maintains full length track bar to keep a balanced axle swing through the suspension cycle.
- Drag link flip: Match the track bar drop and keep your steering geometry perfectly parallel. Flat steering and track bar angles mean a more comfortable and confident ride.
- OTK tie rod: This over the knuckle tie rod is the ultimate solution for a heavy duty tie rod is finally here! This heavy duty tie rod is 1.5" in diameter and gets paired with our IRO 1-ton tie rod ends. Proceed with Confidence knowing you've got the highest level of strength leading way!
- 1-Ton Tie Rod Ends: We were disappointed in every 1-ton tie rod end on the market so we designed our own! We wanted a no compromise design so we packed in all the features we could. Each tie rod end features a massive 1-ton ball stud and a thick forged housing. The ball studs are chrome plated and the forged housings are zinc plated for a lasting finish that will look good under your rig for long time. The joints have a built in anti-flop feature so your steering components stay where you put them!

Fitment Notes: 4" lift minimum required and track bar must have a forward differential clearance bend. 17" wheels with 4.5" of backspace or less are recommended for UTK, required for OTK. Factory 17" wheels (OEM WJ & JK wheels) will
require minimum of 1" wheel spacers.
